( Top Pick – Editors Choice)
Excellent Helmet! I was not used to like a full face hat, but I switch to this when my 3/4 hat was just too loud at highway speeds. Firstly, my concern was that this would feel too confining and that my field of vision would suffer, but I must say, I love this helmet! It is comfortable, fits well, and the noise level at highway speeds is quite tolerable.
It also has room for either ear-buds (I got the sports kind with the little over-the-ear-loops) or for the speaker systems popular with the guys who travel in groups). I was also amazed at the huge field of vision! I can see everything in this that I can in my 3/4 hat. The face shield is crystal clear, and this one also has the drop-down interior darkened shade.
As well, this hat has an excellent system of closable vents to help keep comfortable and not too hot while on the road. The face shield raises and is helpful for riding in the city at lower speeds, keeping you a little cooler.
I also really like that this is a modular helmet with the entire face/chin piece easily being able to lift up and away. No, you do not do this while riding, but when you are stopping, you can quickly raise it all to converse with your riding buddy, or whoever else. It also makes it easier to get on and off.
Pros:
Cons:
Scorpion EXO-R420 Motorcycle Helmet for me does a great job of keeping me safe and comfortable. The two vents offer pretty good ventilation, but the mouth vent does most of the work as the top vent requires more of a tuck position to take in any bit of air. The removable cheek pads (with emergency pull-tabs!) paired with the removable lining make this a very nice helmet to clean and install a communications system. I’m currently using a SENA 10S with mine.
Pros:
Cons:
Despite the cons, I would still wholeheartedly recommend this helmet to a street rider that takes occasional long trips on a sport / naked bike.
Bell Qualifier is the popular Helmet for many users, they made this solid helmet with many features added with it.
I want to start out by saying it’s excellent helmet, and a great price point! It’s got a great fit, is very comfortable and is light weight. You’ll also get cutouts for speakers similar to a sena unit if that’s in your budget. Changing shields is a breeze with the snap system they have on board. You’ll want to get a smoked shield for day riding as this helmet comes out of box with a clear only. Great for night riding! They are easy clean and do fog up but it’s minimal in some conditions.
Pros:
Cons:
Bilt have good reputation in offline market as well, They are wide range of helmets for budget ranges, They made this helmet best fit in size, Its modular design made it to fit easier. you can use it with more convince without hassle.
The helmet is a little snug around the face. I can rub my chin on the face guard. The hardware works good. The buckles for the chin strap and snap for the tail of the chin strap are a little high up making harder to secure the chin strap. I am happy with the helmet and would buy another.
Pros:
Cons:
It’s a five star VALUE for a helmet. Construction is sturdy, cool, and cosmetically well finished. Lets you put glasses on without sliding them through the front. Its look awesome and when wearing it make look more cooler ;). I love this Helmet, as Its in-expensive while total worth the price.
Pros:
Cons:
( Budget Buy )
I must say this Helmet is the most economical awesome Helmet, I love this size and comfort level. They made this thing awesome fro design to its features. As its not as much expensive so rated this a budget Helmet. If you are first timer or looking for inexpensive option, this budget Helmet choose and believe me you will not be regret later.
Pros:
Cons:
Dual visor helmets are the best in most conditions, and happy to find a budget DOT approved one. It is simple and fits excellent. The helmet comes with a free soft drawstring bag. The chin strap closes with a clip, Asian style, which I like. It’s comfortable and sturdy. Its the best helmet under $100.
The vision range through the clear shield is wide – always significant- and the cheek buffers are well placed low down, not riding up uncomfortably to pull on your eyes.
When are going to buy Motorcycle Helmet, You should make sure the following things
What we see first is the outer shell, usually made from some family of fiber-reinforced composites or thermoplastics like polycarbonate. This is tough stuff, yet it’s designed and intended to compress when
it hits anything hard. That action disperses energy from the impact tolessen the force before it reaches your head, but it doesn’t act alone to protect you.
Inside the shell is the equally important impact-absorbing liner, usually made of expanded polystyrene (commonly thought of as Styrofoam). This dense layer cushions and absorbs shock as the
helmet stops and your head wants to keep on moving.
Both the shell and the liner compress if hit hard, spreading the forces of impact throughout the helmet material. The more impact-energy deflected or absorbed, the less there is of it to reach your head and brain and do damage. Some helmet shells delaminate on impact. Others may crack and break if forced to take a severe hit; this is one way a helmet acts to absorb shock. It is doing its intended job. Impact
damage from a crash to the non-resilient liner may be invisible to the eye; it may look normal, but it may have little protective value left and should be replaced.
The comfort padding is the soft foam-and-cloth layer that sits next
to your head. It helps keep you comfortable and the helmet
fitting snugly. In some helmets, this padding can even be taken out
for cleaning.
The retention system, or chin strap, is very important. It is the
one piece that keeps the helmet on your head in a crash. A strap is
connected to each side of the shell. Every time you put the helmet on,
fasten the strap securely. It only takes of couple of seconds. To ride
without your helmet secured would be as questionable as driving
without your seatbelt fastened.
